Originally launched in 2008, Claire & Peter Hanson acquired the restaurant from the Oakley family in 2016. Claire had been the front of house manager for 5 years and helped turn the restaurant into what it is today. Oakleys enjoys a niche that has great appeal to the public who actively seek out a homely restaurant that doesn’t look like another PLC!
At Oakleys we rely on repeat customers some of which come back two or three times a week to enjoy our delicious homemade food.
Oakleys is housed within a historic character building that was originally a rag mill built over 3 floors. Internally the decor is sympathetic to the building, with wooden floors and tables and pictures on the wall of days gone by. The listed Building on Albert street is one of Skipton’s oldest buildings and is a delight within itself.
